How the Grinch Tried to Steal Christmas • Part 3

This message is the third and final in a short series of special Christmas messages for 2020 entitled, “How the Grinch Tried to Steal Christmas.” The Scripture references in this sermon are found in the New Testament books of Matthew 2:1-12 and 2 Timothy 4:2, and the Old Testament Book of Jeremiah 17:8. The Magi were looking for the King of the Jews, but when they arrived in Jerusalem, it seemed no one else was looking for Him. As a result, King Herod began a search and destroy mission to find and kill Jesus in an endeavor to stop the arrival of the Messiah. Like Herod, Satan is trying to destroy our faith and kill our relationship with Jesus. Pastor Terry Watson explains how, during dry seasons, Christians who have deep roots in the Word of God and prayer can remain refreshed by the streams of life found only in the Savior. Satan wants to prevent us from growing deep roots so we will leave the faith, looking to other sources for sustenance. How deep are your roots?
