How the Grinch Tried to Steal Christmas

This message entitled, “How the Grinch Tried to Steal Christmas,” is the first of a short series of special Christmas messages for 2020. Pastor Terry Watson explains how Satan tries to steal our understanding of the real meaning of Christmas. The Scripture reference in this sermon is found in the New Testament Book of Matthew 1:18, where we read of the circumstances faced by Joseph upon learning the news that Mary was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit. Just as Joseph was faced with doubt, when we are tempted by Satan to be full of fear, we must remember we are not hopeless. Christians understand that Christmas is not about the gifts under the tree, but about the birth of a Savior who came to give His life for the salvation of all humanity. No matter what you have faced or are facing in 2020, there is still hope in Jesus Christ.
