The Rock is making an impact in Honduras!
The Rock has partnered with Life Mission Ministries in Honduras since 2014, when we first traveled with Pastor Eric Downs, whose God-given vision was to build an orphanage for children who had been forgotten and abandoned.
During one of his early trips, Eric became overwhelmed by the suffering he witnessed and cried out to God, asking why He wasn't helping these children. God impressed this simple but life-changing truth on his heart: "I am helping them. I sent you." That calling became the foundation of Life Mission Ministries. Although Pastor Eric went home to be with the Lord in 2025, his son, Seth, has faithfully continued the mission.
In 2026, our team returned to Honduras for the first time since 2019 to continue investing in this incredible work. Today, the ministry has established a thriving school that is already in need of expansion and has completed most of the orphanage campus, which will include 48 rooms, a large gathering space, a kitchen, staff housing, and multiple bathrooms. When finished, it will become the first orphanage in Honduras specifically designed to care for girls ages 8–12 with mental disabilities, providing a safe, loving home for children who are too often overlooked while demonstrating the love of Christ in a tangible way.
